Avery Alder & Milo Offerein

A key image for the site depicting Avery and Milo standing in front of a hexagon, arms extended to meet in the middle. Surrounding them are strange creatures, a defunct robot, ferns, and village knick-knacks.

Friends! Join us in a marriage celebration!

Camp Maskepetoon
Alberta

While scavenging in the woods, we uncovered an ancient rite of hexagonal devotion. As it so happens, this rite can only be performed at the ten-year mark of a true love while surrounded by family, friends, and community. As the Sun approaches Uranus in Taurus, come celebrate this auspicious moment with us!

Join us for a cozy, strange, family-friendly, queer summer camp wedding on the weekend of May 9-11, 2025. All festivities take place at Camp Maskepetoon, located an hour south of Edmonton.

If you only want to show up as a guest for one day, make it May 10. Our ceremony begins at 3pm, with reception following. If you’d like to join us as a camper for the entire weekend, and become one of the helpful folk who bring everything together, then we’re excited to feed you for your entire stay and to offer you a camp bunk to sleep in.

Wondering what to wear? You can trust in semi-formal attire that leaves you able to traverse summer camp grounds. Or, if you want to lean into our aesthetic vision and delight the strangefolk, come dressed in some cozy collapse wild-built cottagecore ramshackle queer village feast attire (the look).

There’s no registry, but we are welcoming help and contributions.

We will be asking guests to take a covid test before or upon arrival (and will have some available as needed).

Expected Occurances

Friday, May 9

This is when we’ll be arriving on site, along with anyone who would like to help us set up and get ready. Expect a lot of bustling about at this time. It’ll just be weekend campers and helpful folk.

Dinner (provided by Curbside food truck) for all our weekend campers and helpful folk, with a rehearsal interwoven.

Okay, first of all: we both have a lot of siblings. Thirteen between us. Finding a weekend that didn’t fall on somebody’s birthday would have been wildly unlikely.

So this is when we’ll be serving up dessert and singing happy birthday to Avery’s brother Greg, as well as her work bestie Abigail.

Cabin bunks will be available for all who indicate they want one when RSVPing.

Saturday, May 10

An opportunity to eat together (at our build-your-own bruschetta bar), hear our love story, share lovely stories of your own, and take an in-breath before a busy day.

A casual light lunch, since we know that there’s going to be so much food throughout the day.

Six vows, entrusted to six vowkeepers, forming a hexagonal oath of lifelong devotion.

An opportunity to nibble and mingle – outdoors and in the Quiet Lodge.

A time to reminisce, rejoice, and nourish our bellies and hearts! We’ll invite toasts from select loved ones, and share in a feast that features on-site barbecue and communally-prepared sides.

The villagers shall run amok! There will be song and dance. There will be games for the quiet folk. We’ll roast marshmallows and make s’mores.

Cabin bunks will be available for all who indicate they want one when RSVPing.

Sunday, May 11

Allison is taking over the kitchen for a brunch extravaganza. Let her and her team of friends and family serve you up bennies, hashbrowns, granola, and more!

We will be ending festivities by noon and diving into quick two-hour cleanup.

Throughout the reception, a kids zone will be open in the adjacent room, with rotating caretakers. Coloring sheets, toys, games, and books will be available. Later in the reception, we’ll screen My Neighbour Totoro here.
